Compare the Solar Storm 24S and 24R replacement lamps from Wolff. Both use Inferno 2645 bronzing bulbs, but fit different bed models. Find out which set matches your tanning bed.
Quick answer
The Solar Storm 24S and 24R replacement lamps both use the same Wolff Inferno 2645 bronzing bulb, but they are not interchangeable. Choose the 24S set if you own a Solar Storm 24S residential bed; choose the 24R set if you own a 24R residential bed.
Same bulb technology, different bed fit
Both the Solar Storm 24S and 24R replacement lamp sets feature the Wolff Inferno 2645 bronzing bulb. This is a 100W F71 dual bulb designed for face and body use, with a UVB rating of 9.9/7.9, known for delivering intense bronzing results. The key difference is the bed model they are built for: the 24S set fits the Solar Storm 24S residential tanning bed (available in red, silver, and black), while the 24R set fits the Solar Storm 24R residential bed (available in red, black, and silver).
Because these bulbs are made to order for each specific bed model, ordering the wrong set means the bulbs may not physically fit or connect properly. Always double-check your bed's model number before purchasing.
Ordering and lead time
All replacement bulbs sold in the US are built to order, so both the 24S and 24R sets have an estimated lead time of 2-4 weeks. Plan ahead to avoid downtime on your tanning bed. The price difference between the two sets is small, but the critical factor is compatibility with your specific Solar Storm model.
